Numerous and belligerent, The Fire Ants bring an old-time mountain sound to the Texas Gulf Coast anthills. They got the kind of music that makes you want to plant something in a field, eat something fried with gravy, and sit out on the porch with something bootleg. Songs about trains, thieves, murders, and roadkill — a little somethin’ for everyone! Holler at ’em if and when you need some pickin’ and some grinnin’.

Sundown at Sam’s is a free live music series hosted by the Sam Houston Memorial Museum on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. We’ll be up on a log-cabin-looking stage while the sun sets through the pines. Bring lawn chairs and refreshments and come on up and see us!
From the venue: Limited parking is available by the Sam Houston Memorial Museum and Wigwam Neosho Museum Store while there is plenty of parking available at the Katy & E. Don Walker, Sr. Education Center. You are welcome to park either inside the museum grounds, if spaces are available, or at the Education Center – just keep in mind that our museum grounds are spread out over fifteen acres and there will be a bit of walking!
Come see us with our friend Hannah at this free event all about electric school buses! We'll start playing at around 1. See you there!
The first Sunday of the month from 1 to 5 p.m. is Smither Park Sundays! We'll be playing in the clamshell on March 3, starting at around 3 p.m. Join us in the park for free live music, crafting activities for kids and adults, and a curated selection of artisan vendors.
Come find us on our friend Chad's porch on Bayland Avenue for Lights in the Heights!
